The Eldorado Suites Hotel was built in 1914 on OK Street in Old Bisbee, and was originally designed as a boarding house for the town’ growing population of miners. This historic hotel offers a great view of town while overlooking Bisbee’s notorious Brewery Gulch, with its many saloons and local characters. The building itself is an outstanding example of territorial architecture with its broad porches and arches.

All of the suites have been completely remodeled and have central heat and AC, and are one or two bedroom condos, making them the perfect place to share with another couple. They all have a complete living room with cable TV, a full kitchen, and bathrooms that feature original claw foot tubs. Each suite has access to a full balcony overlooking town, and the rear patio offers a little privacy and a gas grill to use for your own personal BBQ. They even have a free onsite laundry and secure off street motorcycle parking, which is very rare for the old streets of Bisbee.

But the best part of the Eldorado is the owners. Tim and Justine Race are some of the finest people you will find anywhere. They will go far out of their way to make you feel right at home. If you want to know what to do in town, where to go in the area, a history lesson, or if you need a ride to get a part for your bike, they will be right there to help you out. Tim has been riding for longer than he cares to remember and has an incredible knowledge of motorcycles, and has in fact owned too many makes and models to mention here. Justine is the one who keeps Tim in line and makes sure everything runs like a fine tuned Harley. She says she was at the original Woodstock in ’69, but there is no way she could have been old enough. Maybe she was born there. Seriously folks, Tim and Justine have been in the business for many years, and they know how to treat their customers.

So when you’re planning a ride to Bisbee, check out the Eldorado. You will not be disappointed. Go to their website for more info and pictures. www.eldoradosuitesbisbee.com

Cochise County Choppers has done it again!  For the second year in a row they took home a trophy at The Horse Smoke Out West 2010 in Santa Rosa New Mexico.  This bad ass Triumph was selected as one of the Top 10 custom built choppers out of the 75 plus entries.  CCC is known all over Arizona as a no frills, no nonsense, custom fabricator and bike builder, and are gaining attention throughout the West for their one of a kind builds. The Thunder Roads Crew would like to congratulate Cochise County Choppers and thank them for representing Arizona at the event.
